Gay Marriage: The Law of the Land

As the nation rejoices for the new laws upholding the approval of gay marriages, let us not forget that with every freedom carries the cost of a heavy responsibility.  What appears to be freedom, wisdom, and legal rights for a man, it is direct disobedience to the Word of God and will trigger the most divine judgment on the land.

As in the days of Moses, when a nation goes against the divine laws of God, disasters occurred. Pharaoh was the most powerful leader whose heart was hardened by the laws of God and plagues swept his land destroying everything in its path.

Do not be surprised when the economy collapses or if there is a major earthquake that splits the United States in half from Mississippi upward towards Wisconsin or Minnesota.

I’m far from a doom and gloom Christian, but history teaches us that when we live in disobedience, the Lord will judge the land.  Jeremiah, the prophet, warned of repentance, yet the people turned a blind ear against the warnings.

The natural man does not understand the spiritual things of God.  I Corth 2:14  Although many people may not hear the voice of God, we are not blind to the natural disasters, economic tsunamis, rumors of war, floods, tornadoes, earthquakes in diver places, famine and pestilence for these are warning signs that were written in the Bible so we will be aware of what is yet to come.  Matt 24

It is not a time to live in fear, but to live for God.  We shine the brightest in the darkness. We are still to love each person regardless of our differences, but that does not mean we have to accept or agree with a gay lifestyle that is against one’s faith. Let’s not get confused. This is not a personal judgment but God’s judgment.

Although the law was passed, it still does not make it right in the sight of God. Many people are afraid to speak up because they fear persecution so it’s much easier to go along with the crowd.

Yes, anyone can provide love for a child. But, no one can dispute that man and woman is the only way to procreate. No scientist will ever be able to reproduce life between woman to woman or man to man. Simply impossible.  This was God’s divine plan and purpose for man on this earth despite the distortions that man desires in his own heart.

Bible References:

Matt 19:5

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

I Corinth 2:14

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Romans 1: 16

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Romans 1:24-32

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was met.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

  1. I highly recommend that you read the book, God and the Gay Christian. It explains the Bible verses to which you refer in the context of their time and culture so that you can better understand what they meant. Jesus never mentioned homosexuality – don’t you think he would have if he was concerned about it? He came so that we could all live “life to the full” – not just some of us. God is love.

  2. Thank you for your cmmment. All views and comments are respected. As our culture and society consistently changes, the Word of God never changes. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Obviously, you did not read the Bible References listed on the post. In Romans 1:27, it clearly states, “27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was met.” Yes, God is love. He wants us to live life abundanctly. When we truly open our hearts to Him, which means living in obedience and accepting Him as our Lord and Savior, He will reveal the secret things that the average person does not understand. Jer 33:3 Please understand that God loves all people. He reigns on the just and unjust but as a Father disciplines his child so shall the Lord teach and instruct his children and lead them to truth and a life that is not based on natural pleasures.

  3. Thanks for the reply. Again, I suggest you read that book if you would like a full picture of the Bible. The Romans quote is referring to same-sex shrine prostitution which were well-known rituals to the fertility god. Romans at the time would have known without question that this was what he was referring to.

You might also find this website useful – it quotes conservative Bible scholars from throughout history on their commentaries on these verses.

    Blessings on your journey!

  4. The Bible cannot be rewritten to justify man’s actions. There are many interpretations which has caused spiritual confusion. Thank you for your comments. Everything will be revealed in God’s timing. Wait and see.

  5. I absolutely agree, Gods word stays as it is and modern rules and this constant apparent “striving to improve” sounds all great, but no one is improving with these apparent modern rules. I think people mix up what is legal and ethical. Just because something is made legal it does not mean it is ethical or that is goes with what God ahs created for us.

Our natural God given sense would tell us, for example that a males parts are specifically designed by God to fit those of a female. In terms of this in a physical sense is it REALLY normal for a man to have a private part of another man inserted into the part of the body that excretes waste? Is it ‘really’ a natural and loving thing to do? Ofcourse it isn’t.
