About My Father’s Business

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.”  Isaiah 61:1

About Me

I was guided by the Lord to start a blog in 2008. I was going through a tremendous storm in my life and I have continued to blog throughout the turbulence of life’s challenges to give insight and revelation to others who may be going through some type of difficulty in their lives.

As I’m led by the Spirit, I will pour out my love for people in sharing the Word of God as He has instructed me to do. I will answer the call and follow through with preparation and diligence through obedience and prayer.

It has been placed upon my heart to share the faith of Salvation. I believe in the Trinity of the Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit and commanded to teach, preach and scribe the inspired Word of God and become fishers of men.

Being a Christian is living in simplicity and freedom, overcoming challenges through victory in Christ. It’s being free from the expectations and judgments of people. It’s accepting no limitations over your life and receiving the promises of God with great expectations.

I stand in transparency. I stand in peace. I stand in integrity. I stand in truth.

About the Blog

I believe in the Trinity who is the Creator of all things. Father (Lord), Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit. Jesus died for our sins and was resurrected and will come again. The Father guides us into all truth and embraces us in unconditional love.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

I believe in transformation. Life is a transformation. Jesus transforms our lives and sets us free! Look at a rare butterfly. It lives in a cocoon, but while inside its natural habitation, it is constantly growing. One day, it just breaks out of the cocoon and is set free! We live in bondage but we are set free from the yoke of sin and bondage once we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior.

You are set free once you give your life to Christ and become a born again believer. It’s through this transformation that God enters into your heart and renews your mind.

Please do not confuse my words with “religion or religious practices” based on legalism, opinions, debates, judgment, criticisms which are driven by religious rituals or condemnation that divides the Body of Christ. Jesus is love.

I believe in one Body who works together in unison to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Living a Christian life is based on accepting Jesus by faith into your heart and following His laws and commandments in the Bible. It is having the Gospel engraved in your heart and surrendering to God to work through you to shape and mold you into who He wants you to become. It’s about living for His purpose while uplifting, encouraging and empowering others to make the world a better place.

Once you receive the Lord as your Savior, you will still have your old nature and will still make mistakes and you will not be exempt from life’s difficulties, but you will receive a new spirit and eternal salvation. There is nothing more important or valuable in life than knowing that you will receive eternal life after death which is the greatest gift from the Lord.

Words of Encouragement and Comfort

It’s in the dark that we are exposed, processed, transformed and renewed. So don’t despise the storms in life.  Stand tall knowing that God is perfecting you in your weakness. Each storm is for His purpose and plan for your life. So endure with patience and faith. In the due season, you will inherit the promises of God, if you do not give up. The Lord is faithful. Pick up your cross and follow Jesus.

Thank you for visiting! I hope that you will find words of comfort and inspiration on this blog.

If you have not received Christ as your Savior and you want to ensure that you receive the gift of salvation, please say this prayer out loud:

“Lord, Jesus, I acknowledge you as my Lord and Savior. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. Forgive me for my sins, poor choices, and mistakes. Come into my heart and renew my mind. Mold and shape me the way you want me to be. I open my heart to receive the Holy Spirit to guide, teach, comfort and protect me. Release me from all evil and temptation. Thank you for restoring my life. I glorify your name Jesus, who is above all names. From this day forth, I live to worship you. I praise you and rejoice to be a part of your heavenly family. Help me to walk and lead as an example of Christ.  In Jesus Name. Amen.”

Welcome to the family of Christ. He loves you, dearly. Although you may not feel any different after saying this prayer. Just know that Jesus has heard your prayer and He lives in your heart. You have been cleansed from all of your past sin nature. There is no guilt or condemnation in Christ Jesus. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Much love,

Yolanda-
